But there was one king who was problem not just for mughals but also for sultans ,With his war strategies , he has won major part of india , yes I was talking about chhatrapati shivaji maharaj , He is not just king of ancient india but  also  inspiration to millions in modern india

But question pops in everyone’s mind is 
Why chhatrapati shivaji maharaj is so famous compared to other kings ?
And is  chhatrapati shivaji maharaj really against muslims ?

• Lets start from the hill-fort of shivneri where shivaji was born on 19 february in year 1630 to  shahaji  and mother  jijabai 

• Shivaji's father shahaji was a maratha general who served  mughals  and it was his mother who raised shivaji by telling the stories of ramayan ,mahabharat and various historical stories and  filled his blood with  patriotism towards bharat 

• By hearing stories from his mother , he has learnt leadership skills , sword fight  and many defence strategies from the time of childhood 

• At the time of mughals , marathas were called slaves of mughals and by hearing this shivaji took a pledge to get independence not just for maratha people  but for entire india which was captured by mughals 

• But problem was shivaji  had no large army , no money , no support ,but he  was brave and smart enough to unite people and fight against mughals 

• By uniting small number of people , he used different kind of guerilla warfare tactics and started attacking enemies 

• Guerilla warfare is strategy where group of people attack enemy post by hiding in forest trees  and running  away after killing them 

• Many historian told that shivaji was so intelligent that he used to win war just by sending warning letters  and  with his strategies he has captured not just pune but almost all parts of north and south india by defeating mughals   

• And at the time many forgien invaders like british and portugess started entering india through waterways

• And it was shivaji who  established  a navy base  from gujarat to  kerala to protect the entire coastline and one should keep in mind that shivaji is called father of indian navy 

• By expansion of his kingdom adil shah was so much worried that he sent his commander in chief afzal khan to kill shivaji 

• Afzal khan was not just taller but also stronger than shivaji and he  knew that shivaji is man of word who never betray  anyone after promising

• And he  writes letter to shivaji by asking shivaji to  meet alone without any weapons in his place By accpeting  his conditions shivaji welcomed afzal khan in his tent  and started a meeting and within a while  afzal khan started attacking shivaji with small knife 

• But afzal khan  could  not  kill  shivaji because shivaji already  knew that afzal khan will attack him ,so he wore armour under his dress for  protection

•  After immediate attack , shivaji removes his hand weapon called  bagh nakh and killed  afzal khan by stabbing   in his stomach and later won  pratapgarh fort by killing his army 

• In battle  shivaji  lost 23 forts to mughals and    he signed a peace  treaty of purandar  with  mirza jai singh who is alliance partner of mughal  by  keeping 18 forts and promised mughals to send 400,000 gold huns

• But  within a year shivaji took revenge by capturing 360 forts  by defeating mughals And when it comes to religion , he was strong follower of hinduism  and spread positivity by treating  all caste people equal

• And today many people tell that shivaji was against muslims but let me tell you he was not against musilms but he was against mughals and sultans who were against  hindu culture by destroying temples and converting hindus 

• And one should not forget that  there were many muslims soldiers and commanders in his army Also in his kingdom he had a rule to  treat  every  women ,mother and children with respect   and  made sure none were taken into prisons 

• And people who rape and shame women used to face death penality  after painful punishment infront of crowd 

• Because of these qualities shivaji maharaj was most respected king and people in his kingdom was ready to sacrifice their life 

• And it was in year 1680 3rd april when shivaji was passed away in  raigad fort by leaving his footprints  all over india 

• For protecting country and religion even today chatrapati shivaji maharaj is most respectful human and  inspiration to millions of  indian
