Is Pushpaka Vimana Real or Just a Mythological Flying Machine?

 Whenever someone says airplane, First thing comes to our mind is Wright Brothers who were credited for inventing the airplane

And what if i say even today many people believe that airplane was not first flying machine 

Yes you heard it right, many people believe that Pushpaka vimana which is mentioned in Ancient Hindu text is the first flying machine 


But Question pops in everyones mind is 

Is pushpaka vimana first flying machine or its just a Myth?

  • Lets begin our video from pushpaka vimana which is believed to be first flying machine which has captured the Imagination of people, 

  • Thought of Pushpaka vimana is not from the recent times but this has come from our ancestors knowledge transfer, where it is mentioned in many existing  hindu texts and also pushapaka vimana is carved in many hindu temples.   
  • One should remember that Pushpaka Vimana was regarded as a symbol of wealth and power in ancient Hindu culture, which was characterized as a magnificent flying machine with wheels and multiple levels,  and capable of traveling to any destination."

  • As per the ancient text of ramayana, it is believed that  Pushpaka Vimana was originally made by Vishwakarma for Brahma and later it is said that Brahma gave it to kubera who is known to be god of wealth and One should remember that kubera is the step brother of ravana.

  • And  later it was ravana who acquired a boon of Brahma, and drove Kubera away from Lanka and seized his Pushpaka Vimana, 

  • And  not to forget ravana kidnapped sita devi and brought her in pushpaka vimana to Lanka and Later Lord rama killed ravana and came to Ayodhya in pushpaka vimana along with sita devi.

  •  And it was in the year 268 BCE to 232 BCE where King Ashoka ruled mauryan empire, in which he mentioned 33 inscriptions in 14 rock edicts, and in his Major rock Edict no IV, he mentioned about Flying machine 

  • Yes you heard it right,  Ashoka mentions the use of vimanas, or aerial chariots, as part of the festivities and processions that were organized during his reign

  • In his edicts Ashoka's words highlight the importance of the Pushpaka Vimana in ancient Hindu culture, as it symbolizes the shift from killing animals and hurting living beings to promoting morality, where ashoka himself served  as a model for these values."

  • Not just that, references to the Pushpaka Vimana can be found in many ancient temples that are thousands of years old., 
  • Even today, numerous texts mention the Pushpaka Vimana and it is believed that the ancient Nalanda University held millions of books on great inventions. However, it is unfortunate that these resources were destroyed by invaders    

  • Also there are many foreigners who are trying to decode sanskrit text and inventing many things, we indians should respect our historical mentions and start appreciating our ancestral works.
